Who The Lord Called Me To Be

Sometimes I struggle with where I am at in life or what I am doing, always yearning to do more for the Lord. However, the Lord spoke to my heart the other day and said: "You are right where I have called you to be….Be at peace with where I have you."

Others can push and pull on your life making you feel inadequate or a confusion in your spirit, but as we pull away to be with the Lord, HE gives us direction for the day. Even Jesus at times had to pull away to pray.

Matthew 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, He went up unto a mountain and prayed and when evening was come, he was alone…

Sometimes we look around and wonder what we are really accomplishing, but sometimes God's direction and goals are different than mine. We have to constantly step back and look at the BIG picture, as Dale and I always say. God sees the beginning to the end and He knows what is best for each one of us and what He has called us to do, each and every day, so be at peace with whatever that is….

It's so important to live a life of thanksgiving, we as Americans have no place or right to complain about anything. Remember that next time you complain about anything, the Lord has been reminding me of that every time a complaint comes out of my mouth. Remember if you praise, you are raised; if you complain you remain. We want our words and actions to be a blessing to all people, even our spouse or co-workers, even to those people that are maybe hard to understand. WE want Jesus to be seen in our lives at all times; it's a goal anyway. I want to keep a "check" on myself so the Lord doesn't have to. Live a repentive life, so the Lord can bring us to a place where we want to be. Sometimes, the smallest tasks are so important to the Lord, taking care of children, cooking a meal for your family, smiling and saying a word of encouragement, cleaning your house so your family has a nice place to come home to, cooking a meal, helping take care of a family member that isn't feeling well, going to work every day or just walking through Wal-mart praying quietly for each person-this is who the Lord has called us to be- workers in his field. Remember, He is in charge-not us, let's be a blessing for His name sake.

He loves us and He wants us to love each other, thinking of others above ourselves. Sometimes we are called to carry some else's load for a while, are we willing to lay ourselves aside for what the Lord has called us to be….

Not everything the Lord asks me to do is something that is easy-to say the least- however, not my will Lord, but yours be accomplished on the earth Remember Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, I know that wasn't something even Jesus wanted to do, because he asked the Lord to take it from him, however, he submitted to the ultimate goal of his calling, are we willing? The disciples were called to do and be with people that at times hated them and tried to stone them.

Mark 14:36 And He said, Abba, Father all things are possible to you, take away this cup from me, nevertheless, Not what I will, but thou will be done….

Think on who the Lord called you to be…maybe someone who is caring for an ailing spouse or family member, a grandmother who has laid everything aside to help with her grandchild, maybe someone who has a mother-n-law move in with them, maybe someone who is helping a boss or leader- lead, maybe someone who is raising their children for the Lord, or maybe you are someone who is praying or encouraging others. I think when we get to heaven, we will be surprised the ones with the most rewards due to service on this earth. We don't always see what the Lord has called others to, so let's be careful to judge. There was a widow who came to church and what she gave was recorded above all others that day. Sometimes our little that we give, because we give it all, makes God take notice. This lady was being obedient with what she had and God took notice.

Mark 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites (less than a penny today)… 43 And He called unto Him His disciples, and said unto them, verily I say unto you, This poor widow has given more, than any of the others who gave.

God notices our efforts and our giving and we are accountable to Him and He directs our paths. As we keep our eyes on Him, He is so faithful to lead us and guide us. Each and every one of us is making a difference in our own part of the world and no one is greater than the other, just different callings and giftings

I have 4 children and they are all so different but I love them the same. God see's and loves all His children, you don't go unnoticed. People don't always appreciate your efforts but God does and He rewards in a way people can't, so looked to Him for His approval not people. Know that the Lord is there with you right now, ask Him to help guide you and He will.

We are so blessed to know such a wonderful God that provides for us- Thank you Lord! Let the blessings and presence of God flow through you today and every day and let Him reveal himself to you in ways that say, I Love You!
